Schedule and Request Status Post #3

IMG_5464
Here is the upcoming schedule for translations. Thank you to those who submitted requests! I will try to complete everything in this order but it is subject to change:

  • UtaPri Merchandise: Trading Voice Cube (Idol Version)

  • UtaPri Merchandise: Trading Voice Cube (Sweet version)

  • After talk: Cecil & Camus

  • After talk Otoya/Tokiya/Reiji

  • Voice Analysis

  • After talk: Masato/Ren/Ranmaru

  • Polaris Booklet (NOT the script)

  • After talk: Natsuki/Syo/Ai
Requests are now CLOSED. I’ll be keeping source copies with me throughout my trip so that I can translate them when I have some down time. My progress is going to be much slower than usual so please be patient! Hopefully I’ll have half of these done by the time I come back from Japan in late September. In the meantime, I'll try to take lots of pictures of anything UtaPri-related!

Schedule and Request Status Post #2

2016-07-29 18.56.40

With my queue completed, translation requests are now OPEN for a limited time. The current schedule is as follows (this is just a list and isn't the order in which I will translate):

  • UtaPri Merchandise: Trading Voice Cube Idol Version

  • UtaPri Merchandise: Trading Voice Cube Sweet Version

  • After Talk Interview: Reiji, Otoya, Tokiya (page 138-139)

  • After Talk Interview: Ranmaru, Masato, Ren (page 140-141)

  • Request #1

  • Request #2

  • Request #3 (Depending on how many I receive)

While I normally translate on a first-come, first-serve basis, because of my upcoming trip overseas, this time I’d like to choose the requests that I put on my queue. Here’s a few guidelines on what I’m looking for:

  • 5th Anniversary Book requests will take priority over non-book requests, but both are acceptable.

  • The shorter it is, the better (but not too short! One-liners are for Twitter). I’ll be gone for a month, so there’s a higher chance that I can get a shorter piece finished during my trip.

  • I will only translate audio (like drama CDs) if it comes with written lyrics/script. (You must be able to provide the source.)

  • If you donate to my translation project, your request will automatically be accepted, as long as it follows the above guidelines☆

The deadline for requests is Monday, August 8th (11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time). If your request isn’t chosen for the next schedule, don’t worry! I’ll take note of it and if you request it again the next time then there’s a better chance it’ll be accepted.

July Translation Roundup

July went by pretty quickly! My greatest achievement is that I finished all of the requests on my queue. It was pretty Photoshop-heavy with all of the diagrams and pictures, and was at times more time-consuming than the translation itself. I hope to go back to doing more article-style translations.

I’ve been way too busy working on a costume to devote myself to my Storenvy shop. I’m still trying to figure out how everything works, and wondered if perhaps eBay is the best choice after all. For now I have to put focus on my other projects that have a deadline. I have a convention coming up in two weeks, and an overseas trip in less than three weeks. Because of that, I won’t be able to translate quite as much as in previous months, not until late September (I’ll be in Japan from August 18th to September 21st). But that doesn’t mean I can’t set some goals!

My goals for August are to complete three or four translations—two of them will be translations for merchandise, and two will be from the 5th Anniversary book. I’m going to take a few photos of the pages so that I can continue to work without bringing the book with me on my trip (it’s pretty heavy). So once I decide what I will translate, I probably won’t be able to change and do something else since I won’t have the book with me. Hopefully I will have something great to show you by the end of August!
